The Native Americans believed that the night air is filled with dreams, both good and bad. The dreamcatcher, when hung over or near your bed swinging freely in the air, catches the dreams as they flow by. The good dreams know how to pass through the dreamcatcher, slip through the outer holes and slide down the soft feathers so gently that many times the sleeper does not know that he/she is dreaming. The bad dreams, not knowing the way, get tangled in the dreamcatcher and perish with the first light of the new day.
I have added a new twist to this old tradition. I have started making dream catchers with cartoons in them! Perhaps this will help you to have good dreams about one of your favorite childhood toys... and if not, at least it's cute!
I started out making My Little Pony Dreamcatchers but now I can customise them with any cartoon character of your choosing. The image is not a sticker- it is a shrinky dink hand done by me!
